So I'm at home working on my work term report, and I figured that i would share with you this panorama i took of my office earlier today :) You guys might find it pretty interesting.

The desk with the awesome can pyramid is mine, right next to the window... its kind of a weird angle but i get an awesome view outside and the sun shines in through that window all day.

I have the image at like a 2000x10000 resolution but i only uploaded a smaller one.

So I finally got a little bit of exercise this past weekend playing Soccer and Ultimate up at a park not too far away. I got some excellent pictures so I thought I'd share and post some.

HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLYYYYYYYY CRAPPPPPPPPPP!!!!

I WAS JUST LOOKING OVER THE VIDEOS WE TOOK AT THE PARK AND I THINK I FRIGGEN RECORDED A UFO ?!?!! omg enough caps, but seriously!!!! O M G ... kk lemme post up the video and you guys tell me what you think!

It happens right from 0:15 - 0:16 it comes in from the top of the screen and fly's away into the distance super fast... wtf! It's like a small black dot, moving super super fast? can you guys see it!

WHAT THE HELL ???

Earlier this morning I go an email from a friend at work informing me that WestJet was having a special today. 50% off of certain flights if booked today :) I checked the site and sure enough they were doing it. As a small catch I could only get a flight from Vancouver to Waterloo (nothing to Toronto) but thats still close enough. And here's the best part, the ticket cost $169.00 !!!

BTW -->
Check out that awesome MSPaint.

Considering I paid $800 for a round trip home at Christmas (Vancouver > Toronto - Toronto > Vancouver) $170 is a HUUUGE steal. After taxes etc it came out to $220 but still!

The $200 saved should help me justify buying that PS3 I've been craving for. In other news, I talked to Scotty Van Ray (my new hero) about renting a place in the house for the summer. We agreed on $400 a month. What a nice guy! Thats half of what i'm paying to live here.

Till next time, Ciao!

February 11th, 2008 - Part III

10:26PM
So I need to finish off the last segment of this three part make up for not posting for a month. I will do it with style and some footage from just this past weekend when myself and a close friend of mine Olivier (see Whistler pics for details) celebrated our birthdays, mine my 21st, his his 22nd.

We started the night off with a house party at his apartment. Things got crazy, people were drunk it was perfect! I even decided that i would provide some entertainment and little did i know someone caught me warming up on camera =\

But its nice to have some footage i guess.

The main show went on after, someone yelled out "Why is your shirt still on?" and i thought to myself what an excellent question so i stripped and put on the main show since i was already warmed up with the glowstrings.

Once everyone had saved their fair share of money by getting properly buzzed at his place we went out to Crush Lounge / Night Club. It was a BLAST!

Thats the best image i can find of the place for now. Oh they've got a website too, check it out here http://www.crushlounge.ca/

Either way it was an awesome time and everyone got home alright :) Till next time then. Ciao!

P.S. I'm having another party for my bday this Friday as well... maybe I'll remember to bring my camera

February 11th, 2008 - Part II

8:11PM
Now you see how long it takes me to create one of these posts... they take way longer than you'd originally think. And yea its now after 8:00PM and I'm still at work because its the only place i can upload from my camera properly.

Anyways lets get to this! Oh right, Part II is Arthur, James and myself trekkin out to Blue for a ski day. So i traveled far and took no pics, but eventually i was at James' place. We had a few things to drink but not too many (early morning) and jumped in his hot tub. Still no pictures... although i don't think u want those ones. Eventually we were tierd and it was late enough so we went to bed.

Oh yea first, since this gets RSS'd to the NR Forums, and Ungst and Kura have been bugging me for weeks to do this, i figured I'd reward them for their efforts!

Here is Ungst... awe what a beautiful face!

Kura at his finest :D

So back to the story, I shottied the basement pullout... Mistake #1. When I saw that James had to remove the plastic from the mattress i was tricked into thinking that meant it was "nice and fresh" and would be awesome. That plastic was a lie! More so than the cake! Eventually it was morning and although myself not being a morning person, due to the wonderful sleep i was happy to be up, sorta, almost.

Drivin in the Subaru. It's not even that bright out!!

Looks like they're putting up a new Coaster at Canada's Wonderland
click the pic's for a better look.

Star's of the day, my crappy rentals... lookin at the pics you can't tell the parts that were chipped off from the side and bottom of the skis.

Me struggling with my goggles as i represent the West Coast with my pimp sweater

James being my Daddy, Arthur wishing he was

We did some night-skiing too. Full day of fun actually.

OMG... Just figured out i can do batch imports.... brace for C-C-Combo!!

16 HIT COMBO!!!

James watching amused the whoooole time....

And then we raced home.... sorta, actually we had a hard time getting me to GO station on time, so we actually drove backwards a bit 1 stop to make sure i got there ahead of time... we thought it would be super close but i actually beat the train by like 15 min.

Brace for Part III - my bday party from earlier this week, but I'm gonna post that from home. Ciao!

February 11th, 2008 - Part I

7:17PM
It's been far too long and I've been slacking on this blog. I guess there's just lots of things to do.
  • Work term report
  • Work term report
  • Course selection
  • TF2 Recruitment
  • Birthday
  • Cleaning / Laundry
  • Cooking
  • Work
  • Update Blog
Looks like I just forgot to add "update blog" to all of that, but now I'm gonna scratch it off. I'll do this in 2 parts 3 parts because otherwise it will just be too long. As you can see I have also recently discovered the "del" "/del" tags and im loving them. I tried using <> but i got owned, escape them stupid "compose" mode

So my pictures start off telling the story on a night out with the old crew. For the sake of this blog they'll be from now on referred to as the A-Team++. Its mostly the old A-Team with some minor overall roster changes (frig that made me think of the TF2 roster =\). This is almost worst than the time I rick-rolled myself using an Eve Online tool for fitting ships. Never create characters in a drop down list with the names Rick and Role ..... I sat in shock in my chair for 5 minutes after accidentally scrolling down with the list selected, trying to figure out what just happened.

So back to the pictures. Lets see em! First we went out for wings at this new restaurant that the guys informed me had changed 3 times since I left... from a Casey's to a TMLeafs place to this Wings place.

This is Mike, new addition (Younger brother of Tom)

Ebs on the left Tom on the right

Afterwards we went bowling, here is a pic with most people in it.

From bottom left to top right: Alu, Tom, Ebs, Mike, Shin's Brother

For the record, all names provided are what we actually call each other, the only non-original members are Shin's Bro and Tom's Bro (Mike).

You haven't seen Shin yet...
This is Shin, in his most natural form.

Here's some more bowling pics. It was a good time.

My score in the last 4 frames... its almost over.. 90 00 !!!!

Alu watching Tom do the banana-bend

Tom watchin Alu, everything Alu does is cooler than normal

And thats about it for Part I, coming up next trip to Blue with Arthur and James. Till then, ciao!

So I know a bunch of you have wanted me to update this blog with the stuff i did on Christmas break and I know this prolly isn't what you had in mind as the next post.... but today i was peeing in the washroom and the guy peeing next to me was breathing really really loud. Like way louder than you need to be breathing... it was creepy and made me seriously uneasy, lol. Just thought I'd share.

So yesterday instead of work we had a fun day and went Bowling. It was 5-pin bowling just like the old days at NEB's, except the place was older and you had to tally all the scores by hand. I got really good at my basic math skills by the end of the day. I manged to take a few pics and they aren't too bad so ill show them to you.

Here's the group i bowled with plus 1
(Alex, 1, David, Andrew, Junichi)

I hope thats the right way to tally score

This is me being Wacky!

Also, on Monday we had a goodbye dinner for the co-ops and i forgot to post the pictures. We went to an All-You-Can-Eat Korean BBQ and Sushi place. O M G. I ate wayyy too much, but we all had a really great time.

Our boat (literally sitting in a boat)

Welcome to the 'Big Eaters' table

Andra and Tony, chowin on the veggies....

Alex and myself being very full (can you tell we work together all day?)

Afterwards, myself and Tony went over to the movie theater to see "I Am Legend". It was ok. The best part was that i got to see it for free. Why you ask? Because i have a Scene Card. If you don't have one yet you should look into getting it. Its pretty sweet. Tony got a discount on his ticket for using my card ( which earned me 100 points ) and i got to redeem my points for a free ticket ( 1000 points = ticket ). The cool thing is my friend sent me a link when i registered for my card that had 2 of those "under the cap" winning number things that were worth 1000 points each. So essentially i got 2 free movies before i even did anything, you get 250 points when you sign up too.

So a number of recent events have come to pass.

Lets start off snappy because thats exactly how quickly my iRiver Clix Gen2 was delivered. I ordered the thing on Monday around 3PM and it was here at the office at 8:30AM this morning! Talk about service, 1 day processing, 1 day shipping. Thats less than 48 hours and it came all the way from Nevada, USA.

Moving on after that, let turn to academics for just a brief second. I finally got a reply out of my co-op advisor (only 2 months late) and so i had my "meeting" with him in the form of an email response to some questions.... kinda lame if u ask me but w/e. And following that I also had my work term evaluation here at work. Scored myslef an Excellent w00t.

Speaking of w00t and new things, it has now been added to the dictionary. The word dates back to 1995 and was originally an acronym for We Owned the Other Team, but is now commonly written with a W, two zeros and a T.

Moving on again, some more photos have surfaced from the Christmas party, proving once and for all that i can clean up. And i clean up quite well at that.

Check out that, not too shabby (ignore the messy hair) it was a logn and windy walk and it must have slipped my mind to fix it. And you thought white shirt red tie combo was only cool cause of that middle aged time travelling twin....
